Supervision

I work as a Supervisor for counsellors, psychotherapists, coach’s, medical professionals and healthcare workers.

Clinical Supervision means that a counsellor or psychotherapist uses the services of a certified Supervisor to review their work with clients. Supervision provides a safe and confidential space to reflect on client work, discuss challenges, acknowledge success and consider personal and professional development. This is a professional service not a managerial role.

Two key elements of Supervision are:

  1. the welfare of the client

  2. the development of the supervisee

All counsellors and psychotherapists, regardless of experience, need supervision.  Professional bodies in the UK such as BACP and UKCP stipulate that their members require supervision

Supervision can be provided one to one or in a group setting
